The fourth electric vehicle to be offered by Cadillac is on its way to us. The Cadillac Optiq, sold at a competitive base price, will be a fully electric entry-level SUV. Although we are still waiting for more information to be revealed, Cadillac Canada confirms the arrival of the Optiq later in 2024.

2024 Cadillac Optiq: Powertrain and Power

According to several of our sources, there are two trim levels to the all-new electric Cadillac, one of which comes with a two-wheel drivetrain and one with all-wheel drive.

Current data indicates a 201 horsepower and 241 lb-ft. maximum torque powertrain for the all-wheel drive version, although other sources confirm that this trim could offer up to 290 horsepower. More detailed information will come later this year.

As for the electric range offered by this electric Cadillac, numbers show that the Cadillac SUV could offer over 500 km.

Towing Capacity and Cargo Space

When compared to the Cadillac XT5 in terms of dimensions, the electric Cadillac Optiq SUV should be able to tow 1,000 lbs with the abovementioned powertrain.

As for the amount of cargo space, it should not be much less than what is offered on the 2024 XT5 or the 2024 XT4.
