Cadillac reveals the Escalade IQ: an electric Escalade

The Escalade is the largest Cadillac SUV; it sells easily in the United-States and is becoming increasingly popular here too. This full-size luxury SUV will be arriving in dealerships by the end of 2024 in a 100 % electric trim. Cadillac Canada has revealed a few details about the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, which is sure to knock your socks off!

The 100 % electric Cadillac Escalade
Back in 2020, experts seemed skeptical about which green avenue Cadillac would be taking. However, the Factory Zero in Detroit/Hamtramck –an imposing factory dedicated to the production of electric vehicles- represented an initial investment of 2.2 billion dollars.
It is in this factory that the Cadillac Escalade IQ will be produced, and also where the Cadillac Lyriq specs was made in 2023 for the very first time.
The Cadillac Escalade IQ: Sturdy and Reliable
The available Cadillac IQ images give us a sneak peek as to what to expect from this all-new SUV.
The silhouette is easily recognizable given how similar it is to the current Escalade. However, there is also a very noticeable difference, since the bumper seems to take its inspiration from the Cadillac Lyriq, with the wings and vertical headlights also common to both of the manufacturer’s electric models.
The design is futuristic, but with a touch of modernism everyone will love.
The Escalade IQ was solely created for an electric powertrain, making this full-size SUV the most aerodynamic ever built by the manufacturer. Also, although it is still just as majestic, the sharp angles were toned down in order to further improve aerodynamics and optimize battery performance.
On the 2025 Escalade IQ images, we can see 24- inch wheels mounted with Michelin Primacy LTX tires. These are the biggest wheels to be offered to date on an Escalade.
Inside, it is easy to see that luxury and refinement take center stage. The high-quality materials serve as a testament for the expertise Cadillac has acquired over the last 100 years. There is a perfect blend of timeless luxury and esthetics combined to ultramodern on-board technologies like:
- A curved 55- inch screen that runs across the full width of the dashboard,
- A 40- speaker AKG studio sound system,
- Heated and ventilated seats with massage function,
- Command center at the front and back,
- Two infotainment tablets at the rear,
- Retractable tables
- A double wireless charging station
- Captain seats in 2nd row,
- A fix panoramic sunroof above the first two rows of seats,
- And so much more.
Moreover, as an added option, you could have a keyless open and close driver’s door.
2025 Escalade IQ: Dimensions
In its fuel trim, the Escalade is a surprising 5,382 mm long. The Escalade IQ is slightly bigger, being 5,697.2 mm long.
Here are the dimensions for the first electric Escalade:
- Length: 5,697.2 mm (224.3- inches)
- Height: 1,932.9 mm (76.1- inches)
- Width including side mirrors: 2,390.1 mm (94.1- inches)
As you know, for a vehicle of this segment, the Escalade is at the top of the list for most generous cargo space. Not only does the Escalade IQ also offer outstanding comfort with captain seats in the 2nd row, but it can also welcome up to 7- or 8- passengers thanks to its 3rd row of seats.
You will also have loads of storage spaces for all of your family’s luggage and bags given that the interior offers up to 3,375 liters (119.2 ft3) of cargo space. To this, you can even add the 345.4 liters (12.2 ft3) that can fit in the front, in the eTrunk.
2025 Escalade IQ: Range and Power
The electric Cadillac Escalade will surprise you with an electric range that is estimated to 724 km by the manufacturer, allowing you to recuperate up to 160 km of range in just 10 minutes on a 350 kW charging station. With a level 2 (240 V) charging station, you will need around 12 hours to reach full charge.
Moreover, the Escalade IQ comes with 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft. maximum torque thanks to the Velocity Max mode. Don’t be fooled by its massive size, it is a true beast on wheels, signed by Cadillac! It offers performance that will have you glued to your seat.
You should also take note that this full-size luxury SUV will offer 4-wheel drive and improved maneuverability.
We do know that the current SUV offers a good Cadillac towing capacity that can reach up to 8,000 pounds (Escalade-V). The electric trim should also offer a similar capacity.
The Cadillac Escalade IQ: Technology and Refinement
Up until now, what set the Escalade apart from its rivals was first and foremost the 38- inch OLED curved screen to which was integrated a 16.9- inch digital multimedia screen.
As previously mentioned, the dashboard now consists of a 55- inch screen that allows both driver and front passenger to access essential information in real time. As for the rear passengers, a command screen is also available, along with tablets at the rear for entertainment purposes.
Aboard the Escalade IQ, passengers will be able to enjoy short rides like from the West-Island to Blainville or long adventures like anywhere in Canada and the United States without getting tired.

Escalade IQ: Arrival Date and Price
